<HTML>Hi Yves,
thanks for the Forward III detail. As far as Mercury is concerned, as I stated in the original question we are dealing with a paddler of 378 tgr built in 1891. The dates, which I am atempting to determine, are not stated. At the time of the first mining her CO was a survivor of the sinking of Queen of the North on 20/7/17, therefore the date is posterior to at least 30/7/17, the location of both minings is given as the vicinity of the Sunk LV. The second mining occurred on the first sortie following completion of repairs after the first.
I have no record of the 2 trawlers you mention being in naval service, in my database they are listed as civilian vessels. The only naval-manned Mercury I have as lost is one 621-tgr paddler sunk while laying a defensive minefield in Bristol channel on 25/12/40.
Regards, Brian</HTML>
