The weight quoted was 5737 ton. but I think maybe the freight. 25 miles out may be considered Gulf of Lyon. More of 1.000 horses died in that sunk. There is a very short novel in spanish about this event. This is a history, based in real facts, of a fisherman who was engaged as pilot for a German uboat. The history relates the life aboard the uboat awaiting an allied convoy. It is an very short but interesting relate about the procedures of uboats. If you like I cand send you by e-mail.
