Hi,I have problem about some ships sunk by u-boote in the ww1 around Sardinia.
I have found in a local newspaper of this time(1915-18) some report about this ships:
5/3/1916 Styerneborg (danish) sunk 20 miles about cape S’Elia in the gulf of Cagliari Sardinia with 2000 tsl of coal ,caming from Newcastle to Cagliari .My question is: How many tsl. was the Ship? How long?and…..????
6/3/1916 Birmania, from Cagliari to Tunisi with 51 sailors man and 8 passengers and 250 cow.My question is:in the newspaper talk about a “Birmania†streamer,in the books sailvassel which it is true?
And the french ship Dahara,Calvados and Ionio sunk for the newspaper near Sardinia is right?
Tank you
