David,

I think you're on to something with UB 94. I don't have her KTB, but Bendert notes: "Am 18.10 war das Boot ins befohlene Operationsgebiet vorgestoßen und griff am Abend im hellen Mondlicht nordwestlich der Isle of Man einen Konvoi von drei Dampfern an. Wie das KTB festhält, erzielte nab einem UT-Treffer auf einem der Frachter, der nach zehn Minuten über den Achtersteven in die Tiefe ging."

So it seems UB 94 did claim a sinking on October 18 NW of teh Isle of Man.
