Seeking info on S.S. Hesperus sinking in 1918 by U-Boat
Date: July 15, 2005 11:34AM

THe traditional fishing port of Granton in northern Edinburgh, Scotland, situated on the south bank of the Firth of Forth, is undergoing a massive multi- million pound waterfront makeover just now. One of the new streets to be built in Granton is to be called 'Hesperus Street' after a ship sunk-'Hesperus-' by U-Boat action in 1918-according to the local newspaper.
Can anyone furnish me with details of 'Hesperus's' sinking in 1918, and the World War One U-Boat involved?, Thanking you all in anticipation....
