On 15th August 1917 a U boat, believed to be UC63 was involved in an encounter with two decoy vessels off the British East coast. The vessels were called ETHEL & MILLIE and NELSON.
Now this encounter ended with the award of a posthumous Victoria Cross for Skipper T Crisp and the account given by the survivors of NELSON is well known. However, I am interested in the German perspective on this encounter, particularly with relation to the other vessel, the fishing boat ETHEL & MILLIE.
Can anyone out there provide me with a German version of this event ? Does anyone have UC63's KTB ?
After all these years it would be fitting and fair to have both sides of the story.
