Alan,
Werner Fürbringer was held prisoner at Colsterdale after capture when his command, UB110, was sunk off the Yorkshire coast on 19 July 1918. He had comanded several other boats in the Flanders flotilla before this. He has written an autobiographical account in the recently translated book Fips, which he wrote in the 1930's.
Hope this has helped,
Deryck
