Von Der Luhe was the skipper of UB16 sunk by torpedo from E34 a minelaying sub...various medals and m.i.d. for this action - my cousin was a signalman on board. E34 skipper was R I Pulleyne..I have photo's of crew and E34 if any use.
E34 lost with all hands in July 1918- strayed into a minefield....she has been located by a dive club from West Terschelling.
Von Der Luhe was the only survivor of UB16.
Cheers
Tony
