Sam,
At least a third of the ships on this are not attributed in Spindler or have other significant issues; these are the most difficult cases and require additional research to solve. Yves,I and others are definitely working on these cases. Some we've solved, some remain unanswered. Because of the complexity of the issues involved, each, or at least each related batch, really warrants its own separate thread. Could you post a separate question about each of what's left over? (See my post on H.S. 4 as an example).
The cases arreibuted by Spindler:
Rose Dorothea and Mayola: U 21
Grenadier: UC 4 (mine)
Algiers: UC 65
Rosalind: U 86
Wirral: U 19
Manchester Commerce, Ganges and Ypres: U 39
Gartness: Austrian U 40
H.S. 6 (tug) -- can't find, do you mean H.S. 3?
Axminster: UC 4 (mine)
Arab: UB 50
Sofie: U 101
Romford: UC 54 (nmine)
Crayford: U 46
Lowther Range 3926 tons sunk 20/04/1918 Stack: U 91 (note correct year)
Complex cases that should be discussed individually: Era, Queen Victoria, Abbasieh and Hamidieh (these two together), Emily Millington, Zarina and Vanilla (these two together), Acton, Kasenga, Tandil, Cressida, Munificent
Best wishes,
Michael
