Hallo zusammen!

information I have on DE VILLEBOIS-MAREUIL:

sunk on late afternoon of 01.10.1916 with gunfire, about 15 shots, many hits, 20 miles SSE Wolf Rock (49°37'N-05°36'W), 8 crew rescued by schooner ETOILE SOLAIRE, Captain's name Bernard Surzur OR Pierre Pevnes, owners: Madame Veuve le Moan of Douarnenez

There was an second U-boat reported close by which didn't took part in the shelling.

Addition to PELLEVIN:
Captain was also owner = M. Larganet
The U-boat fired 3 warning shots, but it is NOT recorded how the PELLEVIN was finally sunk, so possibly NOT sunk with bombs but with gunfire.

All this information is from the very recommendable book (using TNA material):

Neil Maw: "World War One Channel Wrecks" - Teddington 1999
