Hi Terje,
what's the source for your notes that the SOLINGEN sank accidentally S.M. UB 84?
I have the report of enquiry of that accident. The boat was training convoy attacks against target ships of the so called "Geleitzuggruppe" of the U-Boat-school and was rammed while maneuvering in firing position. The enquiry shows no name of the target vessel. The entire crew was lost.
Per Gröner the SOLINGEN became first Sperrbrecher 12 and later Sperrbrecher 3.
So long,
Simon
