Hello Terje,
I saw your notes by chance while surfing around in the net. As far as I remember from conversations with my grandfather , he was Captain on "Solingen" for some time during WW1. I have some notes and pictures from that time but did not yet look through all his heritage. My grandfathers name was Richard Krützfeldt, born 8.11.1874 in Laboe (near Kiel). He died 22.2.1966 in Laboe. I am 63 years old, working as a seapilot in Bremerhaven. As soon as I will have some time ( and being in the mood to wake up the past) I will try to have a look at his belongings . Tell me , if You are interested in some information. I myself do know very little about this episode in my grandfather´s life and it is hard to find detailed information about "Solingen" at all.
Best regards
Jens-Uwe Bock
