HiYa Simon,

Many thanks for the information, I had a feeling that you would/could come up with something. So many U-boat commanders and men of both wars and yes, perhaps submariners of other nations seem to have died rather young. Perhaps a lot of it can be attributed, in part, to the harsh and difficult conditions under which they had to fight. Long patrols, harsh livinging conditions, damp and mouldy food and clothing...........No such thing as R & R for a uboat man at sea (unlike some of the crew of the Atlantis :-))
