Johan,
It is difficult to get a really good fix on where the wreck actually was. I can only say that it was approximately 1 mile (1.6 klm) off shore on the end of one of the rock structures known locally as "Scars" bearing approximately North East from the land. The last time I was in Redcar was in 1997 and I don't recall seeing the structures at low tide, however, I wasn't really looking for them. Redcar's Latitude and Longitude is 54°37'N 01°04'W. I remember two other wrecks of timber ships on the beach, but these were known and documented by name. This for the time being is all I can tell you. However, I will have a poke around and see what I can find out and let you know. Redcar, incidently is just at the mouth of the River Tees opposite Hartlepool.
