Thanks, Ron, that clears that up. One of the things that I have learned about historical research is that you take oral history with a healthy dose of salt. There is usually some fact in it but separating fact from fiction is often hard as the distinction between the two becomes very blurred. It may be that my Dad got the two events intertwined, who knows. Thanks anyway.
