Daniel,

I'm doing these in a different order:

Some basics:

O. = Ober, one rank above (more senior version of) what follows.
Mt. = Maat = a petty officer.

Working down the rank food chain of the abbreviations you asked about:

M.O.Ing. - Marine-Oberingenieur - the engineering officer equivalent of an Oberleutnant zur See

Deck Offizier ranks would really be the equivalent of a warrant officer in the Royal Navy. (And remember, rank equivalency were different then than now)

Strm. - Steuermann, a navigation branch warrant officer
Masch. - Maschinist - engineering branch warrant officer

Petty officers: Virtually all types end in "maat".

Mach.Mt. - Maschinenmaat - engineering branch petty officer
Btsm.Mt. - Bootsmannsmaat - seamen branch petty officer
Strm.Mt. - Steuermannmaat - navigation branch petty officer
Lotse - pilot

Seamen grades
Hzr. - Heizer - stoker
Mtr. - Matrose - seaman
F.T.Gast - Funkentelegrafengast - radio operator with rank equivalent to a Matrose or Heizer.

Heizer.Ing. - I think you got that one wrong.

Best wishes,
