My guess is that David H.’s (mis)attribution is based upon an assumption that the same minefield off Dover accounted for Protector as accounted for HMS Foyle. Note that the location of the loss of Foyle is incorrectly listed as off Dover in BVLAS.
Speaking of UC 68, she (and not U 85) should be credited with sinking (torpedoing) the steamer Tandil on March 12, 1917.
