Bendert is a poor man's version of Spindler -- let's just say that what's in Bendert is heavily derived from Spindler.

But no, Contest isn't mention in Bendert or Spindler. That's not a complete surprise though, as BVLAS does not contain exact positions on British warship losses. And if the RN didn't share details, then Spindler won't be able attribute it out. (Which was also the case in a number of other RN ship sinking.)

The Contest attribution is thus recent, and from someone on this board actually: [www.uboat.net]

Pretty obvious that you'd credit it to the same boat that torpedoed City Of Lincoln once you have the details.
