Hi all,
Found this online resource {United States Department of State / Papers relating to the foreign relations of the United States, 1917. Supplement 1, The World War
(1917)}, and in case there are those who have not seen it yet, wanted to share:

The link above takes you right to the index. Lots of information on a variety of u-boat attacks from official US Government telegrams and such. Great that it is also downloadable as a PDF. I only saw one u-boat mentioned by 'name' (U-45) but then again, I only skimmed a bit.
