Log of HMS Marne 20.7.18

'1015 Justicia struck by two torpedoes portside. Attacked submarine with dcs.
1045 Screening Justicia speed 15k.
1342 Justicia sank
1345 Issued orders to escorts
1400 Patrolled vicinity with Millbrook and Pigeon'

'1755 Sighted submarine on surface on horizon. Attacked at full speed
1758 Submarine dived
1804 Dropped first dc
1805 Dropped second dc. Heavy double explosion followed. Cruised to southward
1828 Sighted S/M on surface. Opened fire at extreme range. 12th round hit abaft c/t. Submarine's bows came up out of the water and she sank stern first
1915 Finished picking up survivors'

This looks great until you try reconciling the times of the attacks and the torpedoes with the report written by the captain of Justicia and the convoy Commodore
