WWI - UB-II Submarine Found off Belgian Coast

Hello,

This morning, 14 Nov 2017, during a press-conference held in Brugge (Belgium), Governor Decaluwé, assisted by the Belgian diver and sub-specialist, T. Termote, confirmed that the WWI Submarine recently found off the Belgian coast is definitively the UB – 29. This was checked on the spot !
Following German sources there were 22 crew on board (not 23 !); furthermore the wreck will be classified as a Sailors Grave and thus protected. That’s the reason why the exact Pos. is not given free actually.
It’s also confirmed that the sub was thus not deep-charged in the Goodwins area (she was probably UC-19) but off the Belgian coast.
But the real cause of her sinking could not be definitely confirmed at this point.
Regards,
Freddy.
