<HTML>Hi Barry, I\'m AB6ND and still have G3CAJ from 1947. You mention cw in uboat films. I have never heard any. Any chance of getting an audio tape of it? The only uboat transmission I have ever heard was in 1944 at a convoy conference in New York prior to sailing to Liverpool. Some one had a phonograph record of a uboat sending accented U\'s etc and that was one of the things we were to listen for at sea. It was a homing signal from a uboat to other uboats. I never heard one at sea. When I am on the air as a ham I\'m mainly cw (what else for an ex sparks?) on 40 and 20. I doubt if there are any other recordings of wartime signals but it would be nice if we could see longer bits of the light signals between ships. That could still be read ok but the films just show fleeting shots. Anyone have control of the old films? 73\'s
Roy
