I have read somewhere a story about this strait.
A submarine sailed,at water level, through the strait of Gibraltar , during a nigth, of course, and a soldier,in the light station on shore, send: "what ship? what ship?"(traditional calls from ship to ship or from shore station to ship)
The sub answered "what rock?, what rock?" (not traditional at all). So the station minded "it's an english one because of the jocks!"
The sub was german but her captain had a very good know of the english mind.
Is anyone knew about this german submarine?
