<HTML>ALAAARM!
Hi chaps,
Okay. The museum has a secure car park.
It does not have a canteen - Naafi, wet, dry or Uncle Tom Cobbley!
There is apparently a Greasy Joes a quarter of a mile down the road - but it is not recommended in the interests of impressing our overseas visitors!
Cafe's are available in Birkenhead town or we can trawl a drive to the nearest Ferry terminal and get a bevvy and a bite there - then take a leisurley cruise along the River mersey, doing the round trip to satisfy the ambitions of the would be salts and to bring back memories to those of us who were!
As the token diabetic, I will bring with me a small stash of food so don't worry about practsing your First Aid!
So, all being well - and if we all book on our own ( Volunteers to pay for Tom Iwanski? No takers and I'll do it - but please let me know! ) - we can enjoy a:
Trip around a Type 12, an O boat, a U boat, a lightship, an LCT.
Oh, bad news time. NO conning tower access on either sub. Guided tours with eagled eyed guides on 534 - but on our own elsewhere.
Catch you here!
Aye,
John</HTML>
