<HTML>I just met a man who pulled the trigger which sunk a U-Boat in the Mono Straights which lies between PR and "another island". This gentleman described the action between the boat and his patrol boat. He said that he saw 3 men his own age on the tower and were almost submerged when he was given the call to fire his Y-gun. The charge exploded afew "minutes after hitting the water" and a large oil slick and pieces of material came to the top. He never found out the number of the boat and has been interested in it ever since. This happened in, he thinks, 1942. If anyone can help with web sites, or somthing, I'd be very happy and I know he will have closure. Thanks for the assistance.....Regards,
