So far as I know, the roll up never happened!

In terms of uniforms, if you look at the excellent 'German U-Boat Crews 1914-45' by G. Williamson (Osprey publishing) you'll get the idea.

I would suggest, from my own naval experience, that trousers were never rolled up - unless you were paddling along the shore....!

As for web sites, 'fraid I can't help you with that one!
