Antonio, thanks for the photos. I find your inserts really interesting.
Can anybody help me with the following:

1. What was "Bellatrix"? U-197, 181 and 196 were to rendezvous to the south of Madagascar and exchange this. Enigma keys? If so, which of the three boats were carrying the new ones?

2. Which boat rescued the crew of the William Ellery or Emery damaged by U-197 on the 30 July 1943? She was towed to Durban - which boat did the towing?

3. Signals to and from the BdU. Would the radio operator be able to hear the actual messages immediatly or Enigma? Perhaps a silly question but I need some clarity?
