<HTML>3. All radio traffic by both sides were encrypted, send by morse code in multi-letter code groups (US used five letter code groups). Radio ops generally did not understand any info until decoded and then only if authorized or if they did decoding with Enigma or M-209 (US). Same with outgoing messages - encode and send letter groups or send messages encoded by Kaleut in same manner.</HTML>
