Top of snorkel was roughly 8.5m above the Uboat's deck. So, with the draft of your vessel it is no problem in calm seas as long as you cross over the deck of the sub. Top of the tower coaming would have been abt 15 feet below the top of the snort, i.e. abt. 10 feet below your WL. I would say your props and rudders would have been gone in a close encounter of that kind. Rgds, RB</HTML>
