Egypt Alpine Corp

The height of mountains in Egypt (highest point: Mount Catherine 2,629 m) is
two times more than in Great Britain (highest point: Ben Nevis 1,343 m) and
only somewhat lower than in Germany (highest point: Zugspitze 2,963 m). During
WW2 in Germany were Alpine Corps. Why they cannot be in Egypt?

Swiss Navy

Switzerland has ancient tradition of navigation and present time use existing experience
and infrastructure. Basel is homeport for Switzerland's ships on the high seas
(800,000 BRT). In Basel is <a

until 1980; a platoon of combat swimmers was assigned to each field corps for
use in operations along Lakes Geneva and Constance and other bodies of water. These
platoons have now been disbanded, but some combat swimmers, no doubt, remain
available for special missions.

Swiss Navy has centuries-old history. Considerable attention to the fleet was
paid during WW2. One of the old warships is national relic under protection of
Swiss Government. Now there are 11 identical motorboats P-80 in Swiss Navy. Switzerland
has located in four boundary lakes: Geneva, Bodensee, Madzhore, and Lago di
Lugano. Switzerland has three naval bases. They are located in three regions
with different basic languages. Swiss Navy subordinated to Army (Landwehr), not
Border guard.

Technical data of P-80 motorboats

displacement: 7 tons
long: 10.7 m
width: 3.2 m
height: 5.2 m
sediment: 0.5 m
engines: two engines Volvo-penta on 170 kSh (230 hp.) each
speed: 70 km/h
armament: two machine guns (12.7 mm)
crew: seven man.
Radar: one
another: one radio station; one depth finder? 1 night vision device.

There is a special naval school for training Swiss sailors. For the enrollment
into the school is required

1. Freely speak any 2 of 3 languages: German, French, And Italian.
2. Swim 400 meters at least in 10 min 45 sec.
3. Required sufficient mental development for the adoption of all systems and
instruments on the motorboat.

All sailors are interchanged and are trained to navigation, shoot, use of
radar, portable radio station, etc.
