UD 2 was originally an ex-Netherlands submarine 0 12. She done no war
patrols nor did she sink any shipping during her service.
She was commissioned into the Kriegsmarine on 28th Jan 1941.
The boat served with the U-Abwehrschule, Gotenhafen/Bergen
in January 1943 on training duties to 6/7/1944 were she was
finally decommissioned at Bergan on that date.
UD 2 was scuttled on 3/5/1945 at Kiel in Germany in order her falling
into Allied hands. The wreck was later recovered & broken up.
