<HTML>The incident took place at Slapton Sands. E-boats came thru a very light screen, not destroyers, sunk and damaged LST,s.
Edwin P. Hoyt's book "The Invasion Before Normandy" published by St. Edmundsbury Press covers the tragic event.
It was not until 1984 that the public knew about it. Our military did not reveal it until then.</HTML>
