As an ex-skimmer all I can say is that bubblehead ( submariner ) training is pretty tough in the RN. Never fancied it myself!

The Perisher (Course for Ruperts - officers - only ) is again extremely tough. The RN demand exceptional ability from their officers. As for other nations doing it, sure - but not the exact same as what the RN get! Example? When other navies do any op's with the Andrew they may get 98% training - but that extra kept back 2% is what makes the RN still one of ( if not THE ) best Navy in the world!

Aye (proudly!)
