There is conflicting information out there about how many recruits arrived on Dänholm Island on 9-23-1933. The best source so far has been by Jordan Vause- U-boat Ace-The Story of Wolfgang Lüth. Vause offers that 123 swore-in and 8 failed out leaving 115 to complete the infantry training.
other sources claim that Crew 33 consisted of 112 sea officers (70 would be U-boat officers), 20 marine engineer officers, 9 Marinesaitätsoffiziere, 5 Navy paymaster, and 5 naval construction officials. Entered on the 04.01.1933 and completed the Infantreiausbildung in the 4th company/II. 04.01.1933 - 06.30.1933.
this leaves me with the number 151 total cadets/recruits.
Which leaves me with the question; Does anyone know or know the list of members of this crew or how I may find it? Thank so much for looking and if you can provide any help!
