I handle the WWII crew section of this website, and can provide a little insight.

The source you are looking for is the Rangliste der deutschen Kriegsmarine, previously the Rangliste der deutschen Reichsmarine, the yearly listing of German naval officers and officer candidates.

I have access to various editions, including 1932, and 1935 - 1938. 1940 - 1942, and 1944. PM me for more information; I can get you the list for Crew 33 in 1935 and 1936.

One issue I should mention is that the Crews are a bit complex. The 1935 Rangliste lists by my coun Crew 33 as having 115 line officer candidates with the rank of Fähnrich zur See, 101 promoted to that rank on July 1, 1934 and 14 promoted to that rank on June 29, 1935. These later promotions were older officer candidates (mid-20s) who had more experience, joined later, and thus received less training.
