U Boat Groupes

As a young enthusiast I have been reading a lot on the phorum. I have a question.
On a few ocassions I have seen people talking about a U Boat groupe that calls themselves Sharhunters. Do they really get to meet with U Boat veterans and what are their tours like?

This sounds like a way for me to meet some U Boat commanders. Is it very expensive to go on their travels??
Where do they originate from?
Must one be a member?
