Thanks for the information, I just got the passage out of the book e-mailed to me by another U-boat.net user. And concerning the alleged marksmanship of the U-156 crew… Having seen the size of the refinery (which was the biggest in the world at that time I think it would have been harder for them to miss the thing…:-)
