<HTML>If you can buy a used WWII Plath suitable for navigation for 1000. US you are doing well; a brand new off-the-shelf C. Plath, built the way the WWII Plaths were built (very expensive thermo-symmetrical lost wax bronze frame) goes for 3200.US and worth every penny especially on small boats which make unsteady platforms for celestial shots. I have been using my Plath for navigation for 26 years with no problems other than having the mirrors resilvered. I would imagine an authentic WWII Plath with the Hakenkreuz on the index arm would be very pricey. The last WWII KM Plath I saw advertised in a boating magazine had an upset price of 2400.US. The ad was gone the next month. JH.</HTML>
