Hello,
There are photos of Kriegsmarine ID disks in the book "Torpedo Los!: The Fascinating World of U-Boat Collectibles" by Gordon Williamson. (I'll have to dig out this book later to describe what is on them in the ones they show in the book - unless someone else has this book and can do so before I.)
I wrote to the U-Boat Archiv asking about officer's ID disks due to portraying a U-Boat commander at living history events. The response I got was that the officer's didn't have their ID number on their tags, just their name.
Sincerely,
Jakob
