<HTML>\"What if\" scenarios are supposed to be a taboo on the forum. But I think it is safe to say, Type XXI\'s, world\'s first true combat sub, in numbers, earlier, would have made a big difference.
Just like long range escorts (like the P-51 Mustang) would have made a difference in B-17 missions over Germany, had they been available earlier.
New, better technology earlier would always have a big impact. To what degree is somewhat difficult to predict....and that\'s why \"what if\'s\" are usually frowned on here. </HTML>
