<HTML>Hi all,
Ah, I haven\'t played Aces of the Deep for so long, cause I got so hacked off with the \'destroyers\' sailing through (yep, right through the middle) of merchant men.
I developed a nice technique of hugging close to merchant men, 100 meters or so to one side to use their engine noises to drown out my ship as we reloaded, at five to six knots at periscope depth at night, like Otto Kreschemer might have done, inside the convoy.
And still you could watch, through the periscope, the destroyers charge through the merchant man which would happily sail on, and because I was at periscope depth, I was therefore consider \'rammed\' and sunk.
That is, when the game didnt \'just die\' on me.
Does you people have better sucess than this? Or even know of any patches which help game play. I did try Sierra some time ago but they didn\'t seem to care.
Many thanks
Alex
