But as from Austro-Hungarian origin, Liszt was considered as German. He was the greatest promoter of Wagner, his daughter was the spouse of Wagner and he lived in Bayreuth.

So, as the Preludes are very pathetic there werte no reasons to not to choose them.

BTW they were not choosen for U-Booterfolge but generally for the anouncements of the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht.</HTML>
