I\'m rather surprised that you are surprised by the actions of U.S. soldiers that Frank described. Perhaps I shouldn\'t speak on this topic since I have never been a soldier, but I have always felt that war is a degrading experience for all involved, and that there is a tendency for some, regardless of the flag they represent or the quality of their commanders, to behave like barbarians. Discipline can discourage this behaviour, but never eliminate it.
For what it\'s worth, that\'s my estimation of the human condition.
