I can not agree with your estimation of Islam. The Islam is one of world religions and it is one of the most humane religions which are known now. The Islam teaches, that the not humane relation to POW is one of the largest sins. Therefore POW in muslim countries live as the remaining citizens, can be occupied with business and have the wife from among the local women. From the muslim point of view the circulation with POW in time of WWII in Europe is the certificate of wildness, ignorance and extreme cruelty.

There are many directions in Islam. Any of these directions does not preach cruelty. There is a current which carry out the political ends under a cover of Islam. The followers of some similar political currents can differ by cruelty. We shall not charge a message the Christian world of wildness and cruelties on the ground that the nazi conducted a genocide.

I am Orthodox Christian. I personally know many muslims and my knowledge is grounded on long-term experience. It seems, that in some countries local mass media aim to form enemy image and next such enemy after communists probably will be muslims. The people are not afraid communists more and it is necessary to search for a new enemy.

I agree with you, that always it is necessary to take into account features of national culture. It is not necessary to interpose with another\'s businesses only for the reason, that within the framework of our culture some things seem improper or cruel.

I shall bring such example. Under Stalingrad Russian have captured some thousand croatians. The croatians as POW safely have waited the terminations of WWII and a bit later were directed home. All croatians come back from the Soviet Union were destroyed. It can concern cruel to us. However croatians come back from the USSR would be very surprised if them have not destroyed. The local traditions are those and we should it understand. The similar actions mention the inhabitants of Yugoslavia. The inhabitants of other countries do not suffer from such actions. From my point of view is completely improperly to impose the understanding of morals to the people which were born and live in other cultural environment. It\'s the same as to require to judge the President of USA that acting on territory of USA does not obey to the laws of Yugoslavia.
