Thank you for the warm welcome.

This is indeed a fascinating area of study and an equally fascinating website. The people on this forum seem very friendly, and I already feel at home. I guess it helps that I was raised by a single father who is a history and military enthusiast. I even feel rather privileged to be one of the few women here.

I will certainly check back often--and I may be hooked already! :-) I look forward to learning as I go and talking with others on the forum. Thanks again.
