<HTML>Hi folks,
Regarding the midget submarine conserved at Trieste in the \"Civico Museo di guerra per la pace \" Diego de Henriquez \" , I just got a reply from Mr. Romanelli, a staff member of the Museum.
The preserved sub is from the rare Molch type. It was built in 1944 in Lübeck by the Flender Werfte, and then shipped to the Sistiana Bay base, where it was scuttled in the closing months of the war. There is a deep groove next to the cabin and the Molch has not been restored. It can be viewed at the Museum\'s facility for big vehicles at Via Cumano 24, Trieste and this only by prior appointment at phone no. 040948430.
Regards
Marc
