<HTML>Woody,
Ken Wynn\'s two volume set is definitely worth the money. There will probably never be an \"error free\" book on U-boat losses as things are changing all of the time. U869 is a perfect example. Any book published before it was really found is now in error.
Even Alex Niestlé\'s book \"Axis Submarine Losses Of WWII\", which for a long timewas regarded as the \"Bible\" on this subject, has been reprinted three times to update it and it is still in error in many areas!
Wynn\'s books are the most current on the subject of U-boat losses and a far better purchase than the cheaper, but error-laden book by author Paul Kemp entitled, \"U-boats Destroyed\".
If you still need to be further convinced, Wynn\'s two volume set was given the \"thumbs up\" by Horst Bredow of the U-boat Archives. If you are familiar with Herr Bredow, you know how seriously he takes U-boat books. A book has a lot to prove before he okays it.
If the price is keeping you back, try your local used book store. I have seen both of Wynn\'s books frequently in mine.
Hope all of this rambling helps...Alll the Best....Jeff</HTML>
