<HTML>Hi Rainer
\"Moonshine\" has Russian equivalent \"Samogon\".
Now peoples do not make THIS for economic reasons. This is correct for large cities.
However time to time the antialcoholic company start in Russia and the buying of alcohol is restricted by different ways. In such cases the people start own illegal production. Frequently for this purpose used a complex installations (stills) with full electronic control of the distillation process. Some peoples used chromatographic or UV-spectral control of final production too. Last time such company was during perestroyka at Gorbachev time.
This does not represent practical interest for me. I do not drink alcohol practically absolutely.
From the real order to one of the German army (1944) (this is not a joke!)
\"Not to delete alcoholic drinks at our retreat and leave this to Russian. From practice, in such case speed of their approach decreases considerably.\"
