<HTML>Hi Willy,
Ok young pup, I like your spunk. But it may be good to occasionally wipe the snot off your nose. So here it goes:
Contrary to your impression I do not have answers to everything. However, I have studied Uboats and their WW2 operations for about 50 years. During that time I also spent enough time on merchant vessels and sailing yachts between the world\'s continents to have forgotten more about their operation and navigation, than you will probably learn in your lifetime.
Read my last post in this thread for the reason, why they did not get into the harbors. They did not need to. I have never called any Uboat sailor a liar. And I have known quite a few. In this thread I am calling yours and Jim\'s recollection into question. You will admit, that there is a difference.
Lastly, your comment \"You Yanks were not all that great\" may be considered offensive by some of us here on the Forum. MPC has called you on the carpet for that. Think beforee you speak/write. Those Yanks were great enough during 2 WW\'s to give Britain a helping hand, when she needed it most. By the way, my smart-mouthed (I wanted to say another word) young friend, I am a German living in the USA.
Not pleased, RB</HTML>
