<HTML>Gentlemen:
A few minutes of quick research indicates the U-176 was sunk by only five depth charges from a Cuban-flagged, Cuban-manned, 83 foot long, former United States Coast Guard patrol boat.
The position of the encounter is, at the moment, not available. If I determine it is was in shallow water, I shall report so.
Cordially.
